Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl.
The club began in November with a brief three meetings. We dove right into our first text Anne Frank:The Diary of a Young Girl. We began by exploring the quotation, “I have my own views, plans, and ideas, though I can’t put them into words yet.” I tried to make the girls relate this quote to the group as a whole. We have our own ideas and feelings, but we’re not quite sure how that relates to our community yet. The first few months of this group are going to be spent exploring our ideas about advocacy. Next, we are going to put these ideas into words, so to speak. My ultimate goal is to create our own advocacy group or get involved in a variety of groups over the year. By experiencing our community we can better understand how to improve upon it.
Feel free to pick up a copy of Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl and join our discussion.
