This is What Life Does: Part II.

Period 2.

Period 2

This is what life does.
It gives you a class full of students drooling on the desk.
Life gives you headphones blasting and cell phones ringing,
But life also gives you smiles sometimes, and a joke to laugh at.
Life gives you a reason to get up each day.

This is what life does.
It has you walking outside in the cold breeze
just to feel life brush against your warm cheeks,
and you don’t even care if you catch a cold
because to you that means you’ll never grow old,
wishing time would walk with you.
Hand to hand to talk about the old times you had.

This is what life does.
It blesses you with children even at a young age.
Children, no matter of the judging and insults,
that the world throws at you.

This is what life does.
Life gives you a pond that splashes on your face.
It gives you a chance to wipe it off and jump over again.
The water washes the pain away.
You can also see your reflection.
That gives you a chance to change the person you are,
and become who you want to be.

This is what life does.
It gives me time to think.
Life gives me time to see things,
that can just make you want to give you give up on life.
Life gives me good days and bad days,
but at the end of the day, I still have it life in me.

Sometimes life can be fucked up,
but at the end of the day, life is what you make it.
Sometimes life is full of people that act like they care,
but don’t really give a shit about you.
Just want to use you for what you got.
At one point in your life things get better.

This is what life does.
Loyalty doesn’t mean loyalty.
It’s more like fake.
You have to watch who you call your friends.
Just try to provide for your family by all means necessary.
You can’t trust every girl,
So I pass them with the rest and focus on the checks.

This is what life does.
Gives you lemons.
Don’t take em’.
Life gives you hell.
Give life hell back.
